Resolutions

(Close on 24 May 25)

BPW WA Clubs may develop and submit resolutions with the agreement of a majority of Club members. Resolutions may relate to BPW Western Australia’s advocacy or to BPW WA operational matters.

οΈπŸ—‚οΈ Submission Form

πŸ—‚οΈ Worksheet

We have provided a work sheet to help clubs assess whether their resolution is valid. It is important that resolutions focus on matters of importance to the internal operation of BPW Western Australia, to our external advocacy campaigns, or to new matters that are BPW core business and relate directly to our aims, membership and purpose.

It is important that BPW WA Clubs proposing resolutions have adequately researched their topic and present current information and evidence to support any claims made. Web links to evidence and supporting reports should be included.

The Club Delegates assigned to propose and argue the case for the resolution must be sufficiently informed to be able to respond to questions from other delegates.

Please complete a separate Resolution Form for each resolution.

The Resolutions Committee may reject a resolution that is deemed to not pertain to BPW core business, or may ask that certain aspects of it be revisited and revised.

A resolution that has already been passed by a previous BPW Western Australia Division Conference or BPW Australia may not be resubmitted.

Club Delegates

(Due on 2 August 2025)

πŸ—‚οΈSubmission Form

The BPW WA Division Conference is an exciting opportunity for members to develop new leadership skills.

Club Delegates and Alternate Delegates play a key role in shaping decisions at the conference.

Delegate Selection:

Club delegates are chosen through a majority vote at the club level.

Delegate Duties:

Delegates vote on behalf of the club during business sessions, including accepting reports, electing Board Members, amending resolutions, and updating the BPW WA Constitution. Clubs should set aside time to review these matters and advise delegates on how to vote, with the option to give delegates discretion on resolutions if needed. Clubs are entitled to nominate 3 delegates and 3 alternates. Observers may also attend.

Delegate Requirements:

Delegates are required to submit their names by 2 August 2025. Clubs must be financial and have a minimum of 10 members on that date to send delegates.

Club Reports

(Due on 2 August 2025)

Showcasing Your Club for the Annual Report

Annual reports serve as a powerful tool for clubs to showcase their achievements, activities, and impact to BPW WA and potential new members. By highlighting key events, member accomplishments, and membership numbers, these reports offer a comprehensive view of the club's purpose and contributions. They demonstrate transparency and accountability, which are increasingly important in the not-for-profit sector.

Required Information:

Clubs are requested to provide the following information in the requested format:

1. President and Committee names and terms

2. Highlights covering special events, projects, alliances and awards

3. Individual member achievements (if appropriate)

4. Two to four photos with captions identifying the event and the people

Photos need to be 300dpi for printing

5. Optional items – unique ideas your club implemented and how they worked

6. In MS Word Maximum 750 words no additional formatting and no pdf’s

7. Due date for your submission is 28 September 2016 to ensure inclusion

If you need help with completing this task, we will assist you, as a priority, to present your club.
