About our Club

BPW Perth began in 1946 and for many years was the only club in WA.   The founding members included many well-known pioneers of the women's movement with a focus on education and politics to make a difference for women.

For seven decades members have gathered for monthly dinner meetings and regular business meetings to progress issues of importance for women.

Perth members travel internationally to BPW conferences in Europe, South America and Asia and to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women held annually in New York.

The club meets monthly in Northbridge and invites all women to contact us for details and we invite you to join us for our next dinner meeting.

Technology is impacting almost every aspect of our health; nowhere is this more evident than in the choices available for birthing. Women’s health policy is a core issue for BPW and working women. Our speakers at this event will both inform and educate you about the surprising trends in this area.

Whether you’ve been pregnant, are pregnant, want be pregnant or simply think that a woman’s body is just amazing, please join us for an evening that explores some of the methods that mothers can choose to bring new life into this world.

    Our Presenters:

Gaynor Ward from Perth Pregnancy Centre

After her arrival in Perth in 2008, Gaynor was appointed as the Clinical Midwifery Specialist for the Community Midwifery Program (CMP), where she was instrumental in providing clinical leadership, implementing policy compliance and developing best practice guidelines for gold standard midwifery-led care. A leap of faith led to establishing her own business where she now provides thousands of mums-to-be with expert care and advice. Learn more about evidenced based midwifery that offers continuity of care from conception to birth.

    Justine Zampogna

Justine had an overwhelming feeling of anxiety towards giving birth and knew that she had to do something about it; she refused to let that anxiety affect what she knew was going to be the best day of her life and the very best start to her journey of motherhood. Every woman deserves to achieve the birth that they have only ever dreamt of and nothing would make her happier than knowing that she can help you with the most miraculous moment of your life.
