BPW provides a rich resource of women who continue to give
generously of their wisdom and experience. Member benefits
include personal and occupational growth, exchange of experiences,
mentoring by association and a contact network that reaches
every corner of the globe.
BPW encourages women to become well-informed and active at
local, national and international levels. It works to raise
the status of women and cooperate with women in other organisations
within Australia and in other countries to encourage international
understanding.

of their interest to assist the work of the organisation.

Within BPW we have a structure
of Members in BPW Clubs which are part of BPW Divisions
or States, which are affiliated with BPW
Australia, which is affiliated with BPW International.
A full member of BPW Australia belongs
to a Club, but we can have
Independent
Members at Large who because of
work commitments or geographical commitments are not able
to join a Club. These members are members of a Division
or State.
We
have other categories of members ;
Associate Member -
is a category that recognises the financial restrictions on
certain groups of women and since their input is valued, offers
half fees. This may be a short term arrangement for a member
until she rejoins as a Club Member.
Life Member - is bestowed upon
a BPW member by Club, Division or nationally. It recognises
a member who has made a tremendous contribution to BPW and
to women in Australia.
Corporate Members - are memberships allocated
as part of a Corporate membership program at Club, Division
and BPW Australia level. A company may seek Corporate membership
and allocate up to three members to attend Club meetings.
Honorary member - is for women
whom BPW would like to bestow membership in recognition of
their contribution to the Australian community.
KIT membership - Keep in Touch - KIT membership
is offered to members taking leave of absence for reasons
such as pregnancy, study, relocation or overload, but encourages
them to stay in touch with the Club. These members are more
likely to rejoin when their situation changes if their Club
has kept them informed of BPW activities. |
