    BPW Caboolture presents its May Workshop & lunchbox session run by author, mentor, coach and public speaker, Trish Springsteen.

    For many the concept of standing up at a meeting and introducing yourself is an obstacle that prevents you from sharing your message with those that need to hear it.

    What stops you from getting up? Is it the nerves? Is it not knowing what to say? Is it a wish to connect but not knowing what strategies to use? Maybe it’s a fear of what everyone will think when they hear you?

    In this session you will discover the techniques and strategies to get those 20 seconds of insane bravery, to stand up and present your introduction with confidence and shine.

     Trish Springsteen is an award winning public speaking mentor, coach, author and director of Trischel . Trish works with business owners and entrepreneurs to help them increase leads and sales with speaking, communication and training. Trish also mentors published authors helping them to turn their books into keynote presentations and introverts helping them to step out from behind their computers to share their message.

    Trish is a member of Women's Network of Australia, Business and Professional Women (BPW), Motivational Speakers Australia and Women Speakers Association. Trish has spoken on national and international stages and she has written and presented a variety of training packages for industry bodies and private companies.

    Trish is passionate about helping others conquer their fear of speaking and communication. Trish enjoys helping women develop their communication, leadership, networking and presentation skills.

    In addition to be awarded the National Edupreneur 2015 Award in the Professional Speaking Category, Trish is a Finalist in the2016 Australian Small Business Champion Awards and was also a Finalist in the ILAB Global Impact 2015 Awards and has been nominated for the Telstra Business Awards. Trish also has been awarded Toastmasters International Excellence in Marketing and Excellence in Education and Training Awards.

    As this is a lunchbox session the cost includes the price of mixed wraps and refreshments for lunch.

    You Are The Producer - How to Take Your Why and Turn it into a Brand Video that Changes Your Industry.

    All good video begins with a good story idea. We all know how profound the impact of a well told story, through video, can be. For all brands, telling the story of who your brand is, what you do and why through video, can be not only an essential tool for your website, but a way to use content through your other online channels to build trust and inspire new devotees. So how can a business owner become a Producer?

    In this presentation, Melanie Fawcett, will share her easy to follow process for finding a unique story idea for your business and creating a simple script that compels your audience and conveys your passion for what you do at the same time. 

    Her simple steps with examples will show you how to:

    • Identify a unique angle on your brand story
    • Turn your angle into a short story that will work for video
    • Use tech tools easily available to make professional scriptwriting a snap
    • Take your script to the production phase!

    Who is Melanie Fawcett?

    Melanie Fawcett LOVES telling stories. She is also passionate about the power of business to create positive social change in the world. Those two passions are embodied in Fawcett Creative, a creative agency of storytellers for the change makers. Melanie’s passion for storytelling has spanned over a decade in Australia, the UK and Thailand. In that time, she has worked with business, government, organisations and institutions alike in all areas of film, media, marketing, content development, project management, education and training.

    She is a published writer, speaker and producer, with a background in Communications. She has a Bachelor of Communications degree, a Masters Degree in Creative Media and Film and Television, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education and is a fully registered and experienced educator. She's passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship, talks a lot and has plans for world domination via her Ipad Mini!

My name is Tina Kirwan and as Acting President of BPW Caboolture I warmly welcome you to our club. If you are looking to get to know other women in a warm and friendly environment, learn and advocate for issues that affect women and business, then BPW Caboolture is for you.

BPW offers a personal and professional development opportunity for women to increase their confidence and standing in the workplace and in the community. We advocate for gender equity, locally, nationally and globally.
