Millenium Development Goals
The eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) form a blueprint agreed to by all the world’s countries and all the world’s leading development institutions.
Ranging from halving extreme poverty, halting the spread of HIV/AIDS to improving maternal health, providing universal primary education and eliminating gender disparity – all by the target date of 2015! – they have galvanised unprecedented efforts to meet the needs of the world’s poorest.
BPW Australia’s projects, programs and campaigns are aligned with the principles of the MDGs and focus on goals that particularly benefit women, children, health, work and family.
We’ll be using the MDGs as the foundation of our upcoming Policy Summit in September. Email us to find out how you can be involved.
In the meantime, you can find out more about the MDGs here
