International Women’s Day
One day. A lifetime of achievement.
International Women’s Day on 8 March is the day when women on all continents can look back on over nine decades of struggle for equality, justice, peace and development.
On this one day, women who are often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, can come together to acknowledge their achievements and remind the world the world of our continuing push to participate in society on an equal footing with men.
