Since 1983 BPW MidCity has been actively seeking to influence government and other decision-makers on what matters to women today. Whether it’s lobbying for legislative change, providing skills development and support for young working women, or simply women helping women achieve what’s important to them, we are the voice that contributes a woman’s perspective on any issue. |

BPW MidCity Members are women from across Melbourne who share the goal of improving conditions for women around the world. Our monthly meetings are a regular opportunity to get together with women who share those same interests and want to learn more – our guest speakers cover everything from financial literacy and industrial relations to the environment and domestic violence.

BPW MidCity has a proud history of leadership within BPW at state, national and international levels. In 1995 the inaugural Young BPW and Woman of the Year awards were won by MidCity members. Two more of our Young BPWs have also held the Australian title. This year we again enjoyed success in Young BPW and Woman of the Year, and the current MidCity President is the official BPW Victoria Representative. In our membership you’ll find the Immediate Past President and Immediate Past Secretary of BPW Australia, the current BPW International Secretary, the inaugural Chair of S4W, two BPW Victoria Past Presidents and a Victorian Past Secretary. Two pre-charter members still retain membership too. |
