| • |
|
Inducted BPW’s youngest member,
Sarah Flatters, who joined one week after her 15th birthday.
In 2006 Sarah, along with other Young BPW members, organised
an inaugural and highly successful Young BPW event for
Joondalup, attracting many young women new to BPW. |
| • |
|
Five members attended National Conference
in Alice Springs in 2004. |
| • |
|
Member Jasmyn Mumme went to International
Congress in Lucerne in 2005 as a BPWA delegate. Jasmyn

award. |
| • |
|
18 members attended WA Division Conference
in Margaret River in 2005. |
| • |

On the social side:
| • |
|
Annual ‘Members’ Escape’
weekends are organised which create many lasting memories. |
| • |
|
The creative side of members and
friends was indulged when a Creative Divas Day was held
which included card making, painting, jewellery making
and relaxing massages. |
| • |
|
Celebrating the spirit of International
Women’s Night is a highlight of the club’s calendar. |
When it comes to supporting good causes:
| • |
|
Their UNIFEM Spring Walk,
held annually since 2003, attracts members, their families
and guests from the wider community. |
| • |
|
Victims of the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami
were given direct help when BPW Joondalup was actively
involved in collecting emergency supplies which resulted
in two sea containers from BPW WA being shipped to Sri
Lanka. |
| • |
|
The Project Five-O program at La
Paz Nursing School, Mexico receives regular support
through fund-raising fun events held by the club. |
BPW Joondalup has a reputation for being committed, reliable,
loud(!), fun, friendly, involved, supportive, energetic and
liable to burst into song at any moment.
We actively encourage new members and guests to join us at
our meetings held on the second Tuesday of the month.
