The province of Doutta Galla is located on the west bank of the Moonee Ponds Creek in Melbourne's premier northwest region and was named after the wife of the famous aboriginal Jika Jika. |

BPW Doutta Galla was formed 47 years ago by a group of dynamic professional women. Some of those ladies are still with our Club, providing leadership and guidance to our new and younger Club members. All members have an interest in pursuing issues that affect women in developing countries and within our own community. We are dedicated to making a difference where we can. |

Our monthly dinner meetings provide interesting guest speakers; the opportunity to network with like-minded women; a stimulating and informative environment for the exchange of ideas and experiences; while we enjoy a great dinner and fantastic company. Our guest speakers give our members and guests the opportunity to enhance their confidence, knowledge and life skills. |

Once again, in February, BPW Doutta Galla was pleased to hold our BPW International Candle Lighting Ceremony. This moving ceremony remembers the history of the International Federation and its member countries, each of which is represented by a lighted candle. All members and guests really enjoyed this touching ceremony. Alice Robinson, a recent new member to our Club was thrilled to participate in the candle lighting ceremony. |

Avril Baxter, Business Consultant, has been working with our Club to establish our "Vision, Mission and Goals Statements for BPW Doutta Galla. Avril has encouraged and supported our Executive members to create a positive direction for our Club in the next 3-5 years. This has been a challenging, yet very exciting and thought provoking exercise for us all. Once established these statements will set the future direction for our Club. |
