Coffs Harbour is located about
halfway between Sydney and Brisbane and currently has
a population of 67,000. The city is central to the Coffs
Coast which is a region of green, pristine rainforests;
relaxed, friendly towns; a rich history and heritage;
a superb string of golden beaches washed by surf; and
a spectacular underwater landscape beneath blue Pacific
Ocean waters. Its friendly, welcoming population and scenic
virtues make it a popular place to holiday, but many is
the tourist who doesn't feel like going home! Coffs Harbour
is a vibrant city with plenty to offer, especially if
ample sunshine and carefree living are your thing.
BPW Coffs Harbour was established in 1970 by founding
President, Mrs E Stead. The club has always had a strong
focus on scholarships for girls, and today still provides
the Maude Spielvogel Scholarship annually.
In recent years the Club has focused on financial literacy
for women, running a Financial Security Seminar for women
in the community, and in 2005, a very successful Health
and Well-Being seminar.
BPW Coffs Harbour welcomes all new members who have an
interest in pursuing issues affecting women in our community,
and who are interested in trying to make a difference.
Our monthly meetings provide a stimulating and informative
environment for members and have a purpose to provide
a forum for networking and socialising, and to focus on
the continuing education of our members through the guest
speakers |
